• A global consulting firm that focuses top management counseling and holistic impact to client companies and societies.

• Built as a pioneer, and lead Global Energy and Material practice in Japan, and served industries of Oil & Gas, Utility, Chemicals, Basic Materials, and Ministries.

• Drove as one of leaders in Corporate Finance practice for serving private equity firms, and Marketing and Sales practice for clients’ B2B marketing & sales.

Professor, Graduate School of Business and Finance, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, April 2023 – present

• Tenured Professor, making research and education in leadership and general management mainly based on strategy and corporate finance.

• Interest in leadership development and capability building, leveraging knowledge and expertise in general management, strategy, and finance.

• Teach courses on “Corporate Strategy”, “Global Management”, and “Value Creation Management”; Teaching Award in 2013 (adjunct professor then).

• A governmental financial institution that provides long-term financing and investments to private sectors in Japan.

• Experienced and drove corporate planning for Bank’s privatization, corporate finance for leading Japanese companies, and global capital markets for bond issuance and derivatives.

• Awarded full sponsorship for 2-year overseas graduate education for 2001-2003; Seconded to Nomura International plc. in London for 6 months in 1998.

SOCIAL SERVICE

My passion is development of next generation of society, industry, and talent, and I have been serving following professional positions:

• Adjunct Lecturer, Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University; Teaching Award in 2020.

• Consulting Fellow, Research Institute of Economy, Trade, and Industry (RIETI), researching and publishing on future of industries and corporations.

• External expert committees of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), discussing national policies on core issues, e.g., energy.
