(Stage 2 in our Transformational Coaching Programmes)

The Certificate in Professional Coaching Mastery (Stage 2) is designed for advanced coaches who have had prior coach training either with Transcend or coaches can bridge their training from another provider.

The purpose of this programme is to develop highly skilled professional coaches in order to facilitate vertical development, sustainable and meaningful transformations at a deep level. This requires the embodiment of a transformational way of being. 

This programme is built on the foundations of our Certificate in Professional Coaching or similar foundational level coach training programmes* from other organisations. 

The focus of this programme is on developing skills with our Transformational Coaching methodology. Coaches will deepen and expand coaching skills and graduate with the competency and capability to coach at the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) level, as defined by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and beyond. The training is presented at the EMCC Practitioner level and coaches can apply for the European Individual Award.

* Before joining the programme we will explore prior learning and experience, provide support for the chosen accreditation process, and guide coaches through a bridging process. Contact us to discuss your unique situation and desired outcomes.

Programme Duration:Completion of all requirements normally takes 6-9 months and the live instruction is spread over a 12 week period. In-person sessions are preceded and followed by live online webinars and practice.

Completion Requirements:Attend all of the training (or review recordings), join a minimum of 10 hours of mentor coaching/supervision, complete Reflective Learning Assignments, required reading, recommended reading and an assessment at the ICF PCC level.

Aims and Objectives

Certificate in Professional Coaching Mastery

This programme aims to develop skill sets, mindsets and ways of being to catalyse vertical development and transformational coaching. It challenges coaches to move beyond traditional performance coaching and dive deeper into the realm of transformational coaching. At the core of this programme is a commitment to ongoing development and the capacity to reflect meaningfully on practice. 

By completing this programme, coaches will be able to deepen and expand their coaching skills and competency, enabling them to partner effectively with clients as they work on values, vertical development, meaning, and transformational goals. The programme is grounded in the development of exceptional motivational balance, which is a critical component of transformational coaching. 

In addition, the programme emphasises the development of exceptional emotional and mental balance, along with the ability to remain resourcefully attentive to meaningful and desired results. These skills are essential for coaches who want to achieve the highest level of competency and prepare themselves to coach at the Senior Practitioner level or higher, as defined by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) and/or the International Coaching Federation (ICF) at the PCC level.

  • A practice of seeking instructor (supervisor/mentor) support, engagement and reflective practice
  • Demonstrate skill in creating and working with developmental goals
  • Understanding and having the ability to skillfully work with coaching clients towards cognitive and attentional balance
  • A commitment to long term competency-based development grounded in practice-focused feedback and reflection
  • A commitment to the engagement in supervision and reflective practice
  • Confidence they have demonstrated coaching competency at the PCC level through competency-based assessment according to ICF standards

Completion requirements

All students are expected to complete all aspects of the programme, which includes live trainer instruction, practice, discussions, assignments, Q&A sessions, participate in feedback and observed coaching. Additionally students will receive mentor coaching/coaching supervision. In the event that attendance is not possible then alternative solutions will be provided that comply with ICF and EMCC coach training standards.


Successful completion of this programme earns the coach our Certificate in Professional Coaching Mastery and depending on the coach’s preference can be applied to ICF and/or EMCC accreditation.

ICF: Graduates are eligible to apply for the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential using the Level 2 path or for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential using the Level 2 if they qualify.

EMCC: Graduates can be recommended by Transcend for the European Individual Award at the Senior Practitioner level. In some cases, coaches may be recommended for the Practitioner level until they meet the requirements for the Senior Practitioner level.
