Meet Sam Magill Sr MCC, our ACTP Program as our new Director of Training

We are delighted to announce that Sam Magill Sr has joined Transcend International Academy of Professional Coaching as our Director of Training (DOT).  Sam is an MCC who resonates with the values of our organisation and our high standards.  We are convinced he will be a great addition to our Academy and that together we will continue to stay on the cutting edge of professional coaching excellence and genuine transformations.

Sam has operated his own practice since 1996. His experience is rooted in work as an internal consultant, coach, and manager at The Boeing Company from 1988 to 1996. Prior to Boeing he was Associate Director of Continuing Education at the University of Washington where he also served as a coach for managers. His earliest coaching was in 1973 when he coached professionals who had immigrated to the U.S. and sought employment commensurate with their skills. Sam’s education includes an M.B.A. from California State University-East Bay where he researched performance evaluation, (1977), and coach specific training at the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara (2001), where he also taught coaching from 2002 to 2008. He also holds an accredited diploma from the Coaching Supervision Academy, London, England. Sam conducts coaching in French as well as English.

Sam brings a rich and varied background in coaching. In 2006, he received the status of Master Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and now serves as Vice-Chair of ICF’s Independent Review Board which oversees their global Code of Ethics. Sam trained as a supervisor of coaching at the Coaching Supervision Academy in 2010 and now teaches their EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) accredited diploma program in both North America and France. He joined Wellcoaches School of Coaching in 2012. He has been invited to speak in Lithuania, Australia, Canada, Brazil, France and the UK in addition to locations across the United State. Sam lives near Seattle, Washington and is also a poet and photographer.
